Fees and Costs

You do not have to pay any fees to register with CISTI or to put CISTI in your routing table. CISTI charges for document delivery on a per-document rate. This rate depends on a number of factors, such as the delivery method, copyright fees (if any), and special services such as colour copies.

NLM does not charge for participation in or use of DOCLINE. CISTI charges a one-time registration fee and an annual administration fee to each Canadian library participating in DOCLINE. These fees help to cover part of the costs incurred by CISTI in its DOCLINE coordinator activities. They are not part of CISTI Document Delivery services. The one-time registration fee is $150 and the annual administration fee is $100.
