Loansome Doc and CISTI Document Delivery: Ordering with Loansome Doc

Anyone may use Loansome Doc to order articles from CISTI.

In addition to direct supply service, clients can use Loansome Doc to request Extended and any of the Custom Services. Type the request in the correct format in the Comments to Library of Loansome Doc.

If no format is entered in the Comments to Library, the orders will go to Direct Supply Service.

Registration is a two-step process. If you do not already have a CISTI account set up for document delivery, you need to register with CISTI to create a new account or update an existing one.

Next, you need to go to the Loansome Doc ordering page and click on "sign up" to register as a new user.

Follow these steps to register:

1. Select your library: Click on the link "skip this step" and enter CISTI's LIBID: ONCCIS as your library identifier.
2. Agree to the terms of use.
3. Enter your contact information, password and default ordering preferences.
4. Verify your information.

You will receive a Loansome Doc registration confirmation by email. Your username for logging in to the system will be your email address.

Please keep a copy of this confirmation email for your records.

You can now request articles found using PubMed from CISTI using the Order button on the Pub Med display. If there are any problems linking your CISTI account to your Loansome Doc account, a client services representative will contact you. Alternatively, you can contact the DOCLINE Coordinator and inform them that you have just created a Loansome Doc account and would like to link it to your CISTI account.
