Qu'Appelle Valley

Welcome To The Qu'Appelle Valley

The best kept secret in Saskatchewan is out!

Harrowsmith Country Life magazine (May 2003 issue) has named the Qu’Appelle Valley one of the top 10 places to live in Canada.
It’s no wonder why, as the Qu’Appelle Valley is home to gorgeous lakes and beaches, plentiful wildlife and a few different provincial parks.  All of these create countless hours of sightseeing and fun.

Saskatchewan is flat and boring—that’s the most common complaint heard from tourists who race through the province on the Trans Canada Highway. But when tourists wind their way to Regina through the “heart of Saskatchewan’s history” which is just 20 miles north of the Trans Canada Highway, their attitude changes about how boring Saskatchewan is.

Within the Qu’Appelle Valley, also called the Valley of the Calling Lakes, a traveler can find rolling hills, an abundance of hiking trails, provincial parks, Saskatchewan historical sites, tipi camps, trail rides, cultural sites, and much more.

Ask any of the people that live in and around the Qu’Appelle Valley and they will tell you that is one of the most beautiful places to visit.   Each lake has its own majestic feel and charm and is full of a variety of things to see and do.  All of the lakes in the Valley are rich with history.

Once you experience the beauty of the Qu’Appelle Valley, you will never say that Saskatchewan is boring again.  All you can say is that it hides its most beautiful scenery and history within the hills of the Valley of the Calling Lakes.
