The Blue Jay

The Blue Jay is a noisy bird, with a blue back and head.

It has pale eyes, a long tail, a white breast and an almost formal black collar. The Blue Jay is the bossy one at the feeder, usually completely in control of which birds are allowed to eat there and which are not. They stay in the area for the entire year, though some do migrate. Their call, or song, is a harsh slurring jeeah, or jay, also a musical queedle. You can spot them in oak and pine woods.
