Fishing Licences
Licences for Ontario and Canadian Residents:
- Must have lived in Canada or Ontario for 7 of the 12 months prior to purchasing the licence
- Canadians need a resident fishing licence or a resident conservation fishing licence
- Conservation licences have reduced catch and possession limits
- To purchase either of these, Canadians must have an Outdoors Card or a temporary permit and application form.

- Resident conservation fishing licence ..... $7.50
- Resident 1 day fishing licence ..... $10.00
You don't need a licence if you are:
- Under 18 years of age
- 65 years or older
- Disabled person (not available to Canadians living outside of Ontario
Licences for non residents
- Underage may fish without a licence if they are with a licenced adult
- Any fish that are caught are part of the limit for the licence holder
