Habitat: Deep, clear, cool, boulder strewn lakes
Eats: fish, insects larvae, plankton
Tips: Spring: troll in shallow waters with flashing spoons, metal jigs, and wobblers
Summer: troll in deep waters with heavy tackle, wire line and down riggers
Winter: jigs, and live bait work best

Ontario Record: 80 cm, 6.58 kg
Habitat: Cool streams, small lakes, rivers, ponds, deep pools
Eats: Insects, fish, crayfish, clams, and snails. Feeds from Jan - Sept
Tips: Fly fishing, spinning and trolling with flies, lures, spinners, spoons and live bait (worms, minnows, grubs)
Rainbow Trout

Lunkers: up to 20 lbs
Ontario Record: 80 cm, 6.58 kg
Habitat: Found mostly in Great Lakes and the rivers going to the Great Lakes
Eats: Insects, freshwater shrimp, fish, snails, clams, and leeches
Tips: Best for fishing when they run in the spring and fall. Troll river mouths with spoonsm plugs. Use spinners, lures, flies, and worms when fishing in the river.
Splake Trout
Splake are a combination of lake trout and brook trout. They are found in a variety of shapes and sizes, bearing marks similiar to that of either fish.
