Director's Message

The Museum's permanent collection started in 1957 when the first Chilliwack Museum was opened in a room in the local police station. Since then the Museum has moved several times. The current configuration has the Museum housed in the City's former City Hall building while the object storage and Chilliwack Archives are housed in a municipally owned structure on the Chilliwack Fairgrounds site. Plans are in the works to create a database that would allow site visitors the opportunity to access the collection on the internet. Please watch this page for developments.
