Hey kids, my name is Mike. It's 1935 and I'm a Fireboss in an underground mine in Cumberland, that's on Vancouver Island. If you want to see what it’s like to work in an underground coal mine in the 1930's you'd better come with me. I will take you deep down below the ground and show you the different things that go on in the mine; jobs, equipment, technology and of course dangers.
