Mining

Transporting Coal to the Market

Morning
The underground mines are quite cool and very, very dirty so first things first, you have to put on some proper clothes to keep you clean, safe and warm. You’ll need this warm flannel shirt and a pair of long pants. All of the clothes that miners wear are dark colors because mining is very dirty work. Make sure that you lace these sturdy hobnailed boots up tight and put on a cloth cap to keep your head warm and allow you to clip on your miners' lamp. There, now you look just the same as every other miner who goes underground. Oh, and don’t forget to grab your lunch bucket. Let’s go to work!3
