The King's Bastion

Included in the Included in the King's Bastion were the soldiers' and drummers' barracks, the chapel, and the governor's quarters. Once these quarters were completed in 1726, most of the governors lived, worked, and entertained in the adjacent suite of rooms. The King's Bastion also had a clocktower with a clock that had only one hand. The clock would strike every half hour and every hour on the hour.
