Agriculture, and the many industries that support it, continue to be the biggest business in Lethbridge and the surrounding area. Many different types of agriculture and new technologies help agriculture stay at the top. Ranching has been replaced by huge commercial feed lots leaving the range open to farming. Grain and sugar beet farming continue to be important to the region, but farmers have also branched out into a many different types of agriculture such as beans, corn, eggs, and honey. The hard-working and inventive farmers of the area continue to make Lethbridge one of the biggest producers of agricultural products in the world.
