Conclusion

Lethbridge today has many different industries that provide jobs for the people who live here. Many of these businesses were brought to Lethbridge to serve the main industries of coal and agriculture, others came because of the prosperity that those industries created in the city. The importance of these support industries is immense because they keep the city safe from economic disaster when one of the main industries is not doing well. This was seen in the stories of Lethbridge Iron Works and the rail yards which simply moved the focus of their businesses from coal to agriculture when the coal industry collapsed. The many support industries in Lethbridge are a part of what has made Lethbridge a unique and interesting community.
