Conclusion

The coal mining era in Lethbridge was relatively short-lived. By 1965 there were no more coal operations in or near Lethbridge. Despite this short amount of time, however, the effects of the industry are still seen in the community today. Lethbridge's strong industrial base and diverse economy are both examples of its coal mining legacy. Without the mines in the Lethbridge area, the city would not be what it is today.
