HOUSE WHERE ONE COULD PASS THE TIME DURING RAIN This building, described by Marc Lescarbot as the "gallery", was a long structure without a chimney, located along the eastern palisade. It served as a meeting hall for playing games, and where the workmen took shelter on rainy days. The southern part of the building shows a door in the centre, surmounted by three upper windows, one of which was in the centre of the gable. Return to previous page |
