- determine which individual is fact or fiction based on the criteria they develop. 

- access the internet to seek information pertaining to non-fictional and fictional characters.

Spiritual

- develop a respect for the achievements of the appropriate role models and their contributions towards the Canadian society.

3. PURPOSE/TEACHER BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The purpose of this lesson is to introduce factual and fictional role models to students.
NOTE: This lesson is an extension from Part I-Role Models: factual and fictional).

4. ACTIVITIES/IDEAS:

Each student should research the following website addresses and choose one of the heroes listed under each heading and complete the question sheets.  The following are:

Voices of the People - Students' must choose one role model and complete the research report.
