The years 1971 to 1990 brought a variety of changes to the institution of higher learning in Church Point. The name of this institution changed to Université Sainte-Anne in 1977 and new programs with a variety of courses were added to the curriculum. In 1990, the centenary was celebrated with much fanfare as the University prepare to enter the 21st century.
