Hi There!

I have always believed that the most important job of any government is to introduce the future to the present. And if we - your parents, teachers and elected leaders - are the present, then you - the kids and teenagers of today - are the future. That is why I think it is very important that you understand what our government - your government - is doing to make the future a better place for you.

And that is why I have created this page - to make what we do more real to you.

Prime Minister Chrétien commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Ottawa. (March 21, 2001)

From here, you will find links to great Sites where you can find out more about our proud history and diverse heritage, as well as what we are doing to make sure you live in a Canada that is on the cutting edge of the wired world; that you have a chance to be a big success; that you get the skills and job experience you need; that you enjoy a clean and safe environment; that you live in a strong, united and prosperous Canada -- and much, much more!

So sit back and stay a while. Look around. And have some fun.

Think of your mouse as a gateway to Canada’s storied past and exciting present. Think of it as a window on the great days that lie ahead - on a Canada that will be the place to be in the 21st century.
