The Message

The message reads:

These pictures tell the true story of the glorious reign of King Preposterous the First after defeating his enemies at the Battle of the puppies, He was made Most High Pharaoh to all the felines of Egypt.

Thereafter His Majesty Preposterous ruled with great contentment for the rest of his nine lives P.S. If you can read this, you are one very smart pussy cat!

(There are two mistakes in this message that Eric's editor forgot to correct. Can you find them? Here's a hint: In one place, Eric used a comma instead of a period. In another place, he forgot to put the period!)

Now you know the story of King Preposterous, you may want to take another look at the illustrations in the endpaper.
