Reviews Copies of the new book are sent to magazines, newspapers, radio stations and television stations so that people can read and review them. The reviewer will tell readers and audiences if they think it's a good book. If the book is a good one, it might be nominated for an award. It is a great honour when a book wins. The first two Zoom books won lots of awards. Zoom Upstream was nominated for the Governor General's award for illustration. This is one of the most important awards in Canada for books. The Zoom books were made into a play called Zoom. This theatre version was written by Kathy MacLellan and includes Zoom's adventures at sea, in the Arctic and in Egypt. The first production used puppets and took place in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre in February 2001. |
