Dr. Mohamed Ally is the Director of Athabasca University's Centre for Computing and Information Systems.
Dr. Ally has been involved in developing and validating competencies for a computer science program and in the development of an expert system for a Learning Management System. In addition, he has also taught courses in the following areas: distance education, computerized information systems, project management for information systems, systems analysis and design, management information systems, accounting information systems, and a variety of computer application software.
His research interests include: 1). Learning objects; 2). Intelligent Tutoring Systems; 3). Graphical information maps as online learning interface; 4). Computer conference interaction and transcript analysis; 5). Learning style and characteristics of Computer and Information Systems students; 6). Project management techniques for information technology; and 7). Best practices in teaching computer and information systems online.
