Registration is now open for WILU 2012, hosted by Grant MacEwan University Library in Edmonton, Alberta from May 23-25! Keynotes include Dr. Michael Eisenberg and Adria Vasil. Program information is available on our website.
If you wish to make your conference registration payment with a method other than VISA or MasterCard, please call 780-633-3820 prior to starting the registration process.

The conference Program is now available online. The full list of session abstracts gives detailed information on each session, while the program-at-a-glace page is a high-level overview of the schedule for the three days of the conference.

Grant MacEwan University is hosting WILU 2012 and is looking for volunteers May 23, 24, and 25. As a thank-you, the following conference fee reductions will be offered:
For volunteers (including students) attending the full conference:
- ½ day volunteer (min. 3 hours) = $56 deduction in registration fee
For volunteers not attending the full conference:
- ½ day volunteer (min. 3 hours) = attend ½ day free
If you are interested, please send an email to wilu2012@macewan.ca with the subject VOLUNTEER as soon as possible with the following information:

2. Hour(s) that you are available May 23, 24, and / or 25
Volunteer Positions Available:
Registration Desk
Your role: To check participants in and provide them with conference information, and to answer general questions about the conference, the campus and Edmonton. The desk will be especially busy on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning as participants arrive.
Runner
Your role: To be a jack of all trades. Runners will be asked to pitch in wherever their help is needed. As the name suggests, the job may indeed involve running (or at least moving swiftly) between venues.

Keynotes
WILU 2012 is pleased to announce our keynote speakers:
Opening
Dr. Michael Eisenberg, a well-known information literacy researcher, professor, author, and founding dean of the University of Washington’s Information School, will deliver the opening keynote to welcome delegates to the conference.
Closing
Adria Vasil is a Canadian journalist who advocates for environmental issues, women’s and human rights, and the author of Ecoholic, a book that helps consumers make environmental product choices. Her closing address will occur Friday morning.
Program
The CFP has closed and WILU organizers thank everyone who proposed a session. We will begin contacting successful session presenters in late January. In the meantime, those curious about the conference schedule can check our Program-at-a-Glance.
Registration
Conference rates are set and registration will open Feb. 23, 2012. Registration information is available on the Registration page on our website. A reminder that all delegates, including speakers, are required to register for the conference.
Accommodations
We have arranged for reduced rates at two nearby locations: the MacEwan University Residence and the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel. Please see the Accommodations section of our website for more information.
