Shared Case Management System
The mandate of the Shared Case Management System (SCMS) is to provide a shared common case management solution to departments and agencies across the Government of Canada (GC). This is a key initiative that is aligned with the Government of Canada's IT modernization strategy. Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) is directing departments and agencies to evaluate the SCMS first as part of their service design. The model provides application management services, including hosting services on a single, common Government of Canada instance.
The SCMS contract provides very inexpensive licenses to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Rates are far below any existing standing offer.
SCMS enables an organization or person to automate, manage, track and control activities, tasks and workflow processes. SCMS also provides a configuration engine that allows users to configure the application to their unique business rules and processes.
SCMS is integrated with other GC standard corporate systems, the SCMS acts as a value-added hub, centralizing information for the user and facilitating efficient delivery of core mandates to Canadians across all departments.
