A valuable tool for front line police officers working with youth in Canadian communities Youth Officer Resource Centre

The Youth Officer Resource Centre (YORC) was launched August 28, 2006, as component of the RCMP’s overall National Youth Services Program.  

The YORC contains complete lesson plans designed for police to deliver to youth in their schools and communities. The information contained within YORC was developed and/or tested by a number of partners including educators, police and youth.  Some of the topics covered include:

  • anger management
  • bullying/cyberbullying
  • dating violence
  • drugs
  • family violence
  • gangs
  • impaired driving
  • internet safety
  • peer pressure
  • traffic safety
  • youth and the law
