About our Association:

We are a provincial association consisting of five lapidary and mineral clubs in Saskatchewan. Our association was founded in Yorkton on May 18, 1977, and became incorporated shortly afterward on September 14, 1977.

The purpose of our association is to encourage the gathering of those interested in the study of rocks, minerals, gemstones, fossils and artifacts. In addition, we seek to encourage the exchange of information among members, publicize the work of the association, encourage the conservation of geological, archaeological, paleontological and mineralogical resources, and to promote and document the exploration of Saskatchewan for lapidary materials, artifacts, minerals and fossils.

The association is a member of the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada.
