    This show will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada (GMFC). The founding meeting of the GMFC was held at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta, in July 1977. Special events are being planned. We hope to see you in 2002!

    • Outstanding displays by our own and other club members. Hand crafted, one of a kind, silversmithing, carving, scrimshaw and glass engraved treasures.

    • To show you the "Tricks of the Trade" and unveil the secrets of how these "one of a kind" treasures are made.

    Annual Conference

    The annual meeting and committee meetings of the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada are held in conjunction with the national show. Various committee reports, discussions and other federation business are conducted at the conference. Clubs and other federations are welcome to attend. Below is the set agenda for the show and conference.

    • There is only room for 80 show case exhibits. Please reserve your space early to ensure your name is on the list.

    Competitive Exhibits

    Entries for the competitive exhibits will be judged according to the GMFC Uniform Rules for Competitive Displays, 1989-1990 Edition.

    Single Stone Competition
    for NOVICE competitors only:

    • BC - 7 Single Cabochon
      Size - 30 mm x 40mm OVAL
      Material: AGATE, any type / any colour

    • BF - 2 Single Faceted Stone
      Size - 10 mm
      Cut - Zircon Cut
      Material: QUARTZ, natural, any colour

    For 3 and 5 Stone, or
    Full Case Competitive Classes:

    • Please refer to the GMFC Uniform Rules Book.
