This can either be a small tree or a shrub. Its long, slender leaves grow 6 to 9 inches long, while the tree can grow up to 40 feet. Its flowers are tiny and grow in bunches from May to June. Its fruits are tiny, reddish-orange, and grow in bunches from August to March. The berries can be used to make jelly that has a pleasantly sour taste. This tree grows best in woods and clearings.
