Father Eric Robin
Father Eric Robin was the parish priest in Morell during the 1950's and was one of the greatest builders and key supporters of the Kings County Baseball League. Under his direction, the league flourished and Morell developed into a baseball power.
Fr. Robin served on the executive of the KCBL until his transfer from the Morell parish. He still traveled every weekend to Morell to keep track of the players and teams.
No longer associated with the KCBL, Fr. Robin widened his interests and was involved in the PEI Amateur Baseball Association and held many positions.

He then joined the Canadian Federation of Amateur Baseball as a director after representing PEI at many national meetings as a delegate. His greatest hope was to see baseball thrive in all parts of the Island and to remain a part of it. His untimely death on June 12, 1977 was a shock and a time of great sorrow for all that knew him.
In his memory, for his dedication and love of the game, a memorial trophy has been donated by Dr. Paul McGuire and is awarded to a member of the Morell senior baseball club deemed most valuable to his team over the course of the season.
