The image to the left is a more detailed site map of the three-phase development concept prepared c.1955 by the Architectural Associates for Carleton College. The period map used to make this plate is more detailed, but in no way inconsistent with the concept described in the December 1954 document.

The approved plan stated a much longer expected time to reach an enrolment of 5000 to 6000 full-time students. Perhaps as a concession for that ill-advised instructions from Coyne, the architects made explicit reference in the revised 1954 document to expansion for additional buildings "should the college expand beyond the 6000 student accommodation in this master plan".
