  3. Lieut. Gerald Walter Ayre. 1st Newfoundland Regiment. Son of Fred. W. Ayre, Aged 25; educated at Methodist College and Rossall College. Killed in action, July 1st, 1916.
  4. Lieut. Wilfrid Douglas Ayre. 1st Newfoundland Regiment. Son of Charles P. Ayre, Aged 21, educated at Methodist College and Leys School, Cambridge. Killed in action, July 1st, 1916.

  5. Lieut. R. Wallace Ross. Killed in action July 1st, 1916, in France. A brother in Newfoundland Regiment. Son of Hector Ross, Esq., Victoria Street.
