The Saulteaux Ojibway people of Grassy Narrows First Nation are located off Highway 604 approximately 80 km. northeast of Kenora.  The Reserve is covered by the Northwest Angle Treaty of 1873-Treaty No. 3.  In 1963, the Band moved to a new site which would allow them road access to the town of Kenora.
