The Lac Seul First Nation people inhabit the Ontario portion of the area that was covered by the Northwest Angle Treaty of 1873 - Treaty No. 3.  Part of the reserve was flooded in the 1930's when a dam was constructed at Ear Falls.  There are three distinct settlements located within the reserve.  These settlements are called Frenchman's Head, Kejick Bay, and Whitefish Bay.  The on-reserve population is approximately 603.

Lac Seul is located just north of Sioux Lookout and falls under the Treaty No. 3 designation
