MacDiarmid is a town located near Lake Nipigon.   It is situated near Highway 11.  A number of native people who were originally members of the Red Rock band as well as other band members of the Lake Nipigon region moved onto Crown land adjacent to MacDiamid in 1950s.  The Native people sought opportunities for seasonal employment in MacDiarmid.  MacDiarmid resides within the Robinson-Superior Treaty of 1850.  Veteran Listing
