Shoal Lake No.39 is part of the Northwest Angle Treaty of
1873 - Treaty No.3.Established in 1884, it became official in 1915.
Shoal Lake has been very proud of its Native Veterans, naming the elementary school
after David Kejick a World War I Veteran. His name is listed as Kisek or Kesick in many
records but he is known by Kejick to his reserve. Soldier David Kejick was awarded the
Distinguished Conduct Medal (D.C.M.) |
