Bread and Milk

There was a Queen in Nursery Rhyme, Who had some bread-and-honey, She ate it in her garden, which I think was rather funny.
This little maid is not a Queen, But still she's very happy, Although she only has dry bread, To share with Gyp and Snappy.
I know what I should like to do - I'd take this little maiden Out in the fields to see the pails With sweet new mild all laden;
And she should have sweet bread-and-milk To eat for breakfast daily; I know she'd give some to her friends- She'd share it with them gaily.
She has three friends - some Queens have none: Perhaps you'll say it's funny- But bread and happiness is more Even than bread-and-honey.
