Visions For Tomorrow Mi'kmaq Narration

In a board room at the Red Bank Administration Office, a business meeting begins with a sweetgrass ceremony. As our community leaders work to create a Heritage Park cultural attraction, they ask for guidance from the Creator. Red Bank's two Historic Sites and nearly 100 other Native heritage sites are vital and sacred to our village of thirty centuries. They are gifts from the Creator. Any use or interpretation of the sites must be guided by respect and traditional values. They are reminders of a time thousands of years ago when our village was first called Metepenagiag.
