The story of the Roedde House Museum all begins over one hundred years ago with my Grandfather, G.A. Roedde, and my little Grandmother Matilda, or "Tilly" as Grandfather called her. When they came to the new city of Vancouver in 1886, they built a house for their young family. Games and chores, celebrations and sounds of every day life will always echo through my happy memories of life at the Roedde House.

As I introduce you to my family, I would also like to know about the family you come from. There are many different types of families, and they all have their own unique stories and experiences.
