Executive Newsletter Resources About our Federation:The Alberta Federation of Rock Clubs (AFRC) was founded on May 11, 1963, in Red Deer, Alberta. It is currently composed of ten clubs throughout the Province. As an organization, the AFRC's mission is to assist member clubs by providing information and expertise, and to promote the study of the Earth Sciences.The AFRC is a member of the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada. Member Clubs:Below is the list of member clubs within the Alberta Federation of Rock Clubs, as of December 1999. You must be a paid member within the federation to be listed here. Click on any link below to obtain more information about a member club.
Meetings:The AFRC meets quarterly in March, May, September and December, on the first Sunday of each of these months (except May), at 11:00 AM at the Community Center in Lacombe, Alberta. The May meeting rotates accross the province and meets for 3 days on the May long weekend.Activities:During the May long weekend meeting, activities such as field trips, auctions, and cookouts spice up the annual meeting part, which occurs on Sunday morning beginning at 10:00 am.Executive for 2000:
