About our Society:

Formed in 1955, our society is a provincial association consisting of about 30 lapidary and mineral clubs in British Columbia, representing approximately 1500 people. The purpose of the society is to promote general interest in the earth sciences, mineralogy, paleontology, gemmology, lapidary, faceting and other related subjects. The society sponsors the Annual Rockhound Rendezvous in May each year and also holds a summer camp to explore remote regions of the province. Each year the society presents the annual Gem and Mineral Show in March. New member clubs are welcome to join the society anytime.

Our society is a member of the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada.
