Who we are

The Program is made up of four Centres of Excellence. Their experts advise governments and develop practical tools for parents, communities, and service providers.

The Program is supported by a Secretariat and a National Expert Advisory Committee. We are also supported by a vast network of respected sponsors and partners from across Canada and around the world.

What we do

The Program shares expert information on children's health and wellbeing with those who need it most:

Parents Children and youth Service providers and service planners Community groups Community groups Researchers Non-government organizations Federal, provincial and territorial governments

By collecting, analyzing and sharing information, the Centres are helping Canadians improve the lives of children and youth.

The Centres also promote partnerships among governments, service providers, community-based and non-profit organizations, academics and families, to make a difference in the health and well-being of Canada’s children.

The Centres help make A Canada Fit for Children, Canada’s national action plan for children, a reality.

A secretariat within the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), monitors the Program to ensure accountability.
