Centre of Excellence for Youth Engagement (CEYE)

The This link will take you to another Web site (external site) Centre of Excellence for Youth Engagement (CEYE) works with youth, youth service providers, researchers and governments to encourage youth participation in meaningful activities.

What CEYE Does

  • Promotes, supports and evaluates youth engagement in community organizations and government programs
  • Provides information, workshops and advice to youth, their parents, their communities and professionals
  • Develops tools for measuring engagement
  • Advises the federal government on programs and policies that target youth
  • Shares research and information on youth engagement with stakeholders

youthThe CEYE focuses on involving youth so they can benefit from the positive health outcomes associated with becoming more engaged in society. The Centre aims to engage youth on issues that affect them, such as democracy and citizenship, relationships and risky behaviors.

The CEYE is based at The Students Commission of Canada. Partners include:

  • St. Mary’s University
  • Youth Launch
  • the University of Regina
  • the First Nations University of Canada, City of Vancouver,
  • YouthNet/Réseau Ado
