Virtual Scrapbook
The Virtual Scrapbook was created to demonstrate how people on the home front
tried to honour and remember the men and women of Newfoundland.
The content of the album is reproduced from a photo album held at the Provincial
Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador (PANL VA-40).
Some pages contain pictures with captions under them. These captions have been
transcribed and can be found below the
album page.

Navigating the Virtual Scrapbook
The actual area of the page containing the photos in the scrapbook is a mirror of the scrapbook found in the
Provincial Archives. Turn the pages by using the “Next” and “Prev” arrows on the bottom right
corner of each image. The number at the top right of the image refers to the page number within the scrapbook.
