Gazebo Pineal

Even the gazebo has a pineal cap! This is one of the most interesting aspects of the Queen Anne style.

From this vantage point, you can see the east side of the Roedde House through the garden. The gazebo, the small structure you see in front, shares many of the Roedde House's traits. While the gazebo is not original to the house, it makes a beautiful addition.

Gazebo Hipped Roof

Hipped roofs are very common in Queen Anne style houses.

One of the most interesting decorative pieces of the house, that can easily be seen on the east face of the house, is the finial located on top of the roof. The finial's main function is to cap the top of the roof. With its simplicity and beauty, the finial creates an engaging roofline. Did you notice that the gazebo also has a finial?
