My Mother's sister Anna was the first child born to Grandmother and Grandfather. She was born in California where Grandfather was working as a marbler and bookbinder. Poor little Anna died when she was only five years old, after she had accidentally eaten some poisonous berries. Grandmother had to go to court when Anna Henrietta died. They thought she had poisoned the child. The court found she was innocent but there was a lot of sadness for the family.
