MEET THE ROEDDES
Gustav (Gus) Adolph Jr. Roedde:
(1895-1953)

(Back to Meet the Roeddes)

Gus

Uncle Gus slept in the first bedroom at the top of the stairs, and he used to keep pigeons in the attic. Gus was always lots of fun and always had time for his little nieces. Gus married Madelaine Eva Gill when he grew up, and they had four children.

Gus also wanted to go overseas to fight for Canada in World War 1, but the war ended before he was sent overseas. He worked in grandfather's printing and bookbinding shop, and together with his brother Bill, he took over the business when grandfather wished to retire.
