The site is honored to be archived at the National Library of Canada. Visitors to the site have been recorded from 44 countries. Content published from February 1/2000 to September 30/2000: 470 reviews, 81 feature interviews, 22 columns. No issue was published in August. Contributors: 21 reviewers, 7 editors, 6 columnists. A new section on African-American authors made its debut in September, with a profile of award-winning author Ralph Ellison and the review of his novel Juneteenth published posthumously. The Mystery review category has expanded at an astonishing pace, followed by General Fiction and Science Fiction. Review sections on Canadian authors, South African authors and UK authors continue to grow. The section on Ebooks promises to be interesting in coming months with the launch of the iBook imprint from Simon & Shuster and the iPublisher imprint from Time Warner Books. As the site expands towards higher goals, the mandate I have set remains the same: To celebrate the published works of bestselling authors, and to encourage first-time or lesser-known authors with fair, honest reviews and timely interviews. The volume of review copies and ARCs [Advance Readers Copies] received from publishers has more than doubled since the start of operations a few months ago. It is my pleasure to acknowledge and thank the following publishers for providing regular review copies, ARCs and galleys, and for answering our requests for specific review copies: Allison & Busby (UK); Avocet Press; Avon; Berkley; Constable & Robinson (UK); Crown (UK); Deadly Alibi Press; Doubleday; Harper Collins; Highbridge Press; Houghton Mifflin (UK); Kensington; Knopf Canada; Macmillan (UK); McClelland & Stewart Canada; Penguin; Penguin Books South Africa; Poisoned Pen Press; Rainbow Books; Random House; Random House Canada; Random House UK; Renaissance Books; St. Kitts Press; St. Martin's Press; Simon & Schuster UK; Soho Press; Time Warner Books; Top Publications; Walker & Co.; Warner Books; Warner Books/ Mysterious Press; Write Way Publishing.
