500,000 hit mark was reached and passed during the month of October, and that number continues to rise steadily. Content published from February 1/2000 to November 12 /2000: 552 reviews, 83 feature interviews, 22 columns. No issue was published in August. Contributors: 21 reviewers, 7 editors, 6 columnists.

The vision I have for The Charlotte Austin Review is to let it develop into one of the most respected book review sites on the Internet, and to create a print magazine of the same caliber with a distribution network, over a period of approximately three years. Towards this end, I had set out specific objectives and goals at the start of operations. Time and again, I have witnessed the relentless work of reviewers, editors, writers and authors. The goals I had set for this year have exceeded all my expectations, and I am delighted to say that we achieved a momentous task with hard work, team spirit and dedication.

It is appropriate at this time to thank the following publishers for providing regular review copies, ARCs and galleys:

Allison & Busby; Avocet Press; Avon Books; Bantam Books; Berkley Publishing; Bloomsbury; Citron Press; Constable & Robinson; Crown Books; Deadly Alibi Press; Doubleday; Harper Collins; Highbridge Press; Hodder & Stoughton; Houghton Mifflin; Kensington Books; Knopf Canada; Macmillan; Little, Brown & Co.; McClelland & Stewart Canada; Orion Books; Penguin; Penguin Books South Africa; Piatkus Books; Poisoned Pen Press; Rainbow Books; Random House; Random House Canada; Random House UK; Renaissance Books; Robert Hale Publishers; St. Kitts Press; St. Martin's Press; Simon & Schuster UK; Soho Press; Speculation Press; Time Warner Books; Top Publications; Walker & Co.; Warner Books; Warner Books/ Mysterious Press; Write Way Publishing.

Don't miss our Special Holiday Issue due out on December 17, with feature author interviews, new reviews, and our Best Picks of the year's reviews. See you then.
