The Wells generating station is located on Mississagi River some 400 feet west of Rayner generating station. Though Wells station is not nearly the size of Rayner station, it produces more power, and makes nearly $500,000/hour as compared to Rayner which makes only $80,000/hour. Wells station having the second largest hydraulic units in the province was the last to be built on the Mississagi River.
