Aerial View of Campus (1960)

The top two illustrations are slightly different schemes believed to date from the winter of 1960-61. The former and latter seem to be by the Architectural Associates for Carleton University. The image in the upper right corner was made by Project Planning, a landscape design consultant.

These schemes are partial plan views of the same area. Both show the two initially-constructed residences in the same position (one turned ninety degrees). They differ in that the concept represented in the left image shows a more recent road layout around the engineering complex, while the right image shows a more recent layout for the building which would become Southam Hall. These two precinct proposals may have been produced at about the same time by different designers who had different details of information concerning the actual future of campus development.
