Calreton University

Comparative Aerial Photography

When the current campus was officially opened in 1960, the quantity and quality of aerial photos had greatly increased. During the early 1960's Carleton University experienced a period of considerable new construction in order to meet demands of a growing school population. One example of a series of aerial photos consists of monthly images from the same flight line and camera type during the summer of 1961 (produced for the Central Experimental Farm). These and other aerial series provided a vivid record of physical change which has taken place at this site.
