Description: The door shown in this photograph is located in the living room of the Lower West Flat. It is believed that this is the door Emily Carr had constructed to connect the two Lower Flats to create a larger space for her proposed "People's Gallery". The door now leads to a staircase which takes you to the upper suites. These stairs were installed after Emily vacated the "House of All Sorts".
